TLILIC0003 - Licence to operate a forklift truck
Central Australian Driving School offers Nationally Recognised Forklift training and licensing.
This unit covers the outcomes required for the operation of a powered industrial truck (forklift) equipped with a mast and an elevated load carriage with fork arms or other attachment for licensing purposes.
This course covers a large practical component regarding the lifting and relocation of loads using a conventional forklift. Participants will learn to interpret and clarify work requirements, access and apply safety information and procedures throughout operations, fit and remove attachments in accordance to manufacturer's specifications and coordinate activities to ensure a safe workplace. The unit is delivered in a 2 day format, with group sizes typically ranging between 6-8 people
Pre-requisites
Participants must be at least 18 years of age. Proof of ID will be required on the day: drivers licence, passport or over 18's card.
Key Topics
On successful completion of the course, each participant will be issued with a certificate of Attainment and an Assessment Report for a licence to perform high risk work which is valid for 60 days only. During this 60 day period each participant must submit all paperwork with two passport photos to the Territory Business Centre (affiliated with Worksafe NT). A lodgement fee of $76 will be required at this time and Worksafe NT will issue a National High Risk licence, which is valid for five years.
